La professionalità dei docenti universitari: le potenzialità oscurate.


Abstract


In the article, the author reiterates the importance of the publicistic structure of university teaching and focuses on the critical issues present in the legislation that emerge in the regulatory kaleidoscope of the professionalism of university professors. Composing the complex legal framework, including the aspects on the objectives of the university system, the author underlines how, faced with the request to the teacher to carry out renewed teaching and research activities that are functional to the new objectives of the universities (think of the third mission), or management and organisational, there is not adequate attention to structured training courses. The omission is negative both for the professional growth of teachers and for their equal opportunities, and for the educational and social effectiveness of university action. Only the academic and political power that has a good hand in the discretionary choice of figures who ignore the qualification acquired through training benefits from it.
