Il bilancio partecipativo in una prospettiva comparata


Abstract


In recent decades, the spread of participatory democracy experiences around the world reveals a growing involvement of cives in public decision-making.

In this regard, the participatory budget is one of the most effective practices of social consultation capable of conferring additional legitimacy to the representative institutions and the related decision-making processes, above all in terms of the allocation of collective resources.

Conceived in 1989 in Porto Alegre, Brazil, the participatory budget was then disseminated in more than one European legal system, especially at the municipal level, adapting to the different contexts of rooting that conditioned its application results.
